Inspired by the captivating collage work of Lorna Simpson and Njideka Akunyili Crosby, students embraced the opportunity to create self-portraits infused with personal elements.
Gargoyle Drawings
Students have had the opportunity to delve into the rich history of gargoyles, exploring how to imbue their creations with lifelike volume through intricate shading techniques. By drawing inspiration from various animals, they have crafted their own distinctive gargoyles, each as unique as the students themselves. Furthermore, they have been encouraged to consider the setting in which their gargoyle resides, sparking creativity as they envision the perfect backdrop for their marvelous creations.
